Thanks all
Ryan does a good job and Ben is real nice hound. Ryan has never really needed much help on how to handle, he just gets it. After the drop or after the hunt I would tell him what went wrong, what he did, could have done, or shoulda. He is a good study. Ben is not Ryans first dog or the only dog he has done good with. He has made a couple other nitechs, and won 2008 Youth Nationals when he was 12. He was actually handling 3 different dogs in hunts around that time and winning some. One day Jessie Copeland called me and asked why my boy was not hunting a red dog like me. I told him that I didn't have a red dog at the time for ryan to win with so I just had to get him something to keep him intrested. Jessie said he would have to fix that. Jessie hunted with my dog at the time several nights and asked why Ryan couldn't when with him, we treed several coons. I said he don't like him just ask Logan Wilson what happens when Ryan don't like a dog. So Jessie bought Ben back for Ryan to hunt. I sold George and got rid of everything in my kennel and put all my eggs in one basket, trying to concentrate on only Ben for Ryan. On weekends and holidays ryan would go with us and learn him. Thats the short story of it there was alot of work in between. Had a lot of great trips along the way hunted with a lot of good dogs, fine people, and made a lot friends, and won alittle. Thanks for all the kind words. I just hope some folks will take notice and have interest in Ben now. Ryan read some of this stuff earlyer before he left and said to say thanks. Well I babbled on long enough see some of ya soon.
