generally the Arkie stock runs around 75-80
that is if you are talikng about Littlejohn's Arkie---

the original Tasudha's Arkie in the 70's I seen him in 76 at Ada Oklahoma was around that same size
will send you an e-mail on what I seen Jacob.

Sugar Creek---there were some very good large ones in the bygone years--- when Del Cameron had them he was plagued with Bloat
sold the kennel to Lionel Charles
Lionel Charles sold the Kennel to Gene Gubala in PA---
Mr Gubala sold the kennel to Frazier Stretch in VA...

there are some strains of the hounds around that carry some Sugar Creek to some degree...

Vaughn stock--- well there were some of the Blue Jack and Buck lines that ran around 80 lbs..
Bill Ferebee in NC had some earlier that were very large-- the last I seen of those was the Blue Boy.. those he had after that were not even of the same type...those were strong in the old Jocassee Valley stock which in part were used in some of the hounds Elbert Vaughn had.-

My male is all blue and very dark. He weighs 92lbs in shape. He's by no means slow. He's super energetic! Depends on what you call cold nosed, but I turned a caged one loose and waited five hours then turned blue loose. He ran and treed it within 5 minutes. Makes me wonder how old the tracks are when I can tell it's a old one. I'm in the process of looking for a good Gyp to breed him to. He's by far the best I've ever had!

Look up arkiedog on here. His name is Steve Perryman. Steve is a stand up guy. You will find what your looking for.

Also we have a litter of ten pups sired by our male thats pictured. The pups were produced out of our best hunting stock. The Dam is all Hazel Hill on top and Brotherton/Utchman on the bottom. Should make some dual purpose type hounds if thats what a person is into.

drift wood blues

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back in touch been really busy I appreciate the pics old Buford is still above ground and pumpin air had a nice season with him and his pup this year so far still got a little bit of time left in our kill season but killing ain't everything those two are a real pleasure to hunt. I will try to keep in touch more now that I got my phone figured out. And again thanks for the pics and the info on Bufords pedigree its nice to know the about the bloodline behind such a fine hound.
