we have one

We own a young dog that's not out of much as far as titled dogs. His dam is a coon dog bar none. if she was pushed harder she could win big. The guy that owns her doesn't push her hard in the hunts because of his work schedule. Our dog is a male about 24 months old. He has no come back when you cut him you better be ready to go. He has had a coon that we could see in 13 out of 15 trees so far this summer. one tree was a den and one you couldn't see the top. He is accurate almost to a fault. The trouble is his speed. He is still slow on track until he gets it lines out then he will shut up and cover some ground. I hope with hunting his speed will increase. If it does he will be hard to beat. He is extremely independent too. He is the kind that is hard to find and harder to buy. but not always fun for a pleasure hunt.

Pam- I'm not jealous of anything it was a question . I've had a nitechamp walker that got struck by a car ,And I've had every color you can think of even curs to Airedales . It was just a question and for people to share there opinion . Personally I don't think some grandnites earn there tittle but once again my opinion . No jealousy here I don't hunt my dogs in hunts no more , just pleasure hunt them, and they do well for me . Actually some of the best coon dogs I've seen are grade dogs , I have nothing against no one , no breed, or ukc, or night hunts . It's just not what I like , I like taking my friends after work on Fridays turning them up the creek and see witch dog gets the meat .
I love all breeds I currently have ( 2 redbones ,2 walkers , 2 plotts, bluetick on the way and a Black and Tan ) I've gotten into bear hunting lately just because there's abundance where I live and boy does 6 hounds sound good pushing one up a mountain . That's my story

Take care yal . Ask questions I'll tell you what I think or about me . I'm just on here to meet new people not start fights . You guys take care and happy hunting .

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Multiple people = multiple definitions of "real coondog"

If it is a "real coondog" in the owners eyes ....... that is all that matters.

One owners trash is another owners treasure!

For me, I like em to tree one close now & again too!
