I think it's right about TRUST! TRUST IN YOUR LORD, Trust in your beliefs, trust in your intelligence, trust in your family!! If The Indians would've believed their Medicine Man, maybe they would still own THE BLACK HILLS?? Probably not, The government would've still wiped them out, or rounded them up and sent to the swamps in Florida anyway. THAT'S WHEN AMERICA SHOULD'VE QUIT BELIEVINF IN POLITICIANS!!!!!! Personally, I don't believe anything they say, Whatever Office they might hold!!!!

American Indians

got screwed by our gov't worse than anyone in the history of America.Especially the Cherokees. Our gov't wined & dined there head chiefs in Washington, promising this and that.Next thing you know, they were all rounded up and made to march all the way to Arkansas & Oklahoma. While our gov't took all their lands.Read the book titled "The Trail of Tears".It'll sure open your eyes about how crooked our gov't really is.Was then, and it is now.Just because they put trust in a "Medicine Man",doesn't give our gov't cause to screw them the way they did.Regardless of who they worshipped! If that were the case, then I guess it would be ok to invade and conquer Say Bolivia. Most of their population worships someone different than God.A little food for thought. DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN WASHINGTON!

My Great grand parents on my Dad's side were in that round up and on that forced march,, I found my Grand parents names In the Dawes census of the 5 Civilized Tribes. Census was like in 1901 til 1907 ,makes me 1/2 Cherokee . Trail Of Tears was like 60 years earlier.

I ain't sure, but I think you agree with me, Mr. Gregory, THE AMERICAN INDIANS WERE THE FIRST TO GET THE SHAFT BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!! While I was in Southeast Asia, LBJ, McNamara, Otto KIssenger, Westmorland were Spinning their yarn to THE AMERICAN PEOPLE about More Troops would ASSURE a Victory in VIET NAM!!. They should've been PUT IN PRISON!!!! Misleading THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. NOTHING BUT LIES CAME OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS!!! Now we can make a NEW LIST of POLITICIANS WHO OUGHT TO BE IN PRISON FOR FAILING TO LIVE UP TO THE OATH OF OFFICE THEY TOOK UPON BEING ELECTED AND SWORN INTO OFFICE!!NOT DEFENDING THE CONSTITUTION WOULD PUT QUITE A FEW BEHIND BARS. BETTER PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU VOTE IN 2014!!!

I think it's a SHAME that our COUNTRY is in THE SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS it's in NOW WITH THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP WE HAVE NOW!!! The only people who believe in THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is the ones depending on it to keep sending them a check. Why has the number of DISABILITY SOCIAL SECURITY CLAIMS SKYROCKETED?? I think it's because of THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP THAT OCCUPIES THE WHITE HOUSE! Never before have we seen such a INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUAL. Maybe after the 2014 ELECTIONS, WE CAN RIGHT SOME OF THE WRONGS WE'VE BEEN SUBJECTED TO WHILE HE BEEN IN OFFICE.

Chuck,my great-grandmother was pure Cherokee Indian also.Don't know why or how-but my great grandfather and she met in Eastern North Carolina.Belhaven to be exact.Belhaven is on the Pungo River about 25 miles east of Washington,N.C.My great grandfather died at an early age leaving my Great grandmother with 9 boys to raise. She had no education whatsoever. She ended up putting 5 of the boys in an orphanage in Oxford,N.C. I was around 7yrs. of age when she died, but I still remember her as if it were yesterday. She lived her last 20 yrs. with my Uncle Julian here in Virginia Beach,Va. the thing I remember most about her is that she always sat at the one end of the couch with a spittoon by her feet. That's cuz she dipped snuff.LOL!!!

If the native American would've stuck together they would've had a better chance. My great-grandfather was a seminole and proud of both my heritages.

Chuck,

I think that is a great idea.I think a lot of people are oblivious as to the plight of the American Indians.

YES, Zimmerman was found NOT GUILTY!! But what kind of Life do you think he'll have?? He's probably looking at a CIVIL SUIT FOR WRONGFUL DEATH, if he is STILL around to face those charges. Yes a JURY of his PEERS FOUND HIM NOT GUILTY, but If he can't step outside his house, How will he PAY HIS ATTORNEYS???

And he has to look over his shoulder too, plus possible civil rights violations.

There are many things I don't "feel" are alright that are still legal.

Martin was 17. Legally a minor but big enough to cause Zimmerman a Fractured nose, lacerations to the back of the head.

Do you think if he had a do-over Zimmerman would want to go back and do things just the same?

I think you're trying to compare apples to oranges. A lot of things people do would be done different if they knew the outcome.

Yes sir and he was a kid further more i've been in plenty of scarps and none ended in a killing but i do understand YOUR POINT. Tea and candy while being follow and harassed means death but never fear your understanding might have a farther reach than you think.

One of THE BIGGEST SCARES PARENTS get is that LATE NIGHT KNOCK ON THE DOOR!! It doesn't make any difference what your SKIN COLOR IS, It's a shame anyone has to ENDURE THAT.

they should have charged him with aggrevated assualt or something other that mansluaghter or murder which could carry either up to 30 years or life.

given the circumstances, i couldnt send zimmerman to life or something close to it, but i could something like a 5 year sentence. the jury probally fealt the same way.
