Hickory

Nice to see Hickory doing a good job. I hunted him and Heather together 2 winters ago and had alot of fun with them. Nice to see that they are both NiteCh's now and working their way to GrNite. Had Heather at a hunt last night: 1st and 2nd Plus, 3rd and 1st circle (den), 1st and 3rd, slick. Did not want to tree her but she was there on the way in and had to. She ended up with 25 plus, 50 plus won the cast. Hope to go again tonight. Want to get her hunted some before her next Heat. I would imagine that it will be right before Bluetick days like last year. Keep up the good work with Hickory. Fella called me out of Oklahoma about breeding his Smokey River female to Hickory. Sounded like he was going to get in touch with you.

Thanks Scott, Hickory has won four cast in a row and looks better every time out, we had three nice walker dogs last night but right of the first drop they went left and Hickory went right and got under the first coon of the night , you was right Scott if you keep hunting him you will see some amazing things. I had a man from Ok. call and he will be here Tue. night to hunt with Hickory. Scott I was interrested in a female out of Banjo and one of your females, which one do you think would cross the best with Hickory? I will stay in touch.

Congrats

Congratulations on the Hunt and Show win with Hickory yesterday. We had a dead cast last night. Alot of dens. I will keep you posted on the crosses that I get made here with Banjo and the females. Going to breed Annie I believe to Banjo next she is heavy bred like Hickory and has proven to through Loud mouth coondogs.

We had a good hunt, John brought a female he call Mauld,I think that is right, Tim brought a dog out of Zeb he calls Duke, we got after some cold tracks and made a couple trees but we never did find a coon, trees are leafed out now and if they don,t look there hard to find but I enjoy going with them and I sure like the looks of John female and she has a good mouth to go with it. I seen his old Queen female and it looks like she is starting to show but she still has a month to go time will tell.

Hickory

Good luck in Patton this weekend. Hunted out of there many years ago at the reunion. Hunted Unlce Pen and Joe Moyer came up and brought the Nitech James Blue Dixie dog from Gary to breed to him. Hope you can get another win on Him.

Sorry to hear about Hickory. Our Ike male had that exact injury years ago and it can be tricky. It took over 6 weeks for it to heal shut otherwise you risked getting water and debris in it hunting. I even had to inject a Novalsan solution into the "hole" of his injury and massage it into his leg 2X a day for a couple weeks. He couldn't have any kind of bedding either or be in his regular kennel till it healed. At least we were able to save his leg. Good luck and happy healing for Hickory!

Darren, sounds like you have been doing good in the hunts, keep up the good work
