Alpha

The shock points on a alpa can be removed. So with them removed why can't you have the handheld on you.

If a person wants to try and win a cast by treeing a dog every time their garmin says they are treed i'd say they would minus out pretty fast.If the hunts were more about who has the best dog and less about finding everyway possible to eliminate the other dogs in the cast i think more people would attend. All the fussing and arguing gets old.Frankly if i'm packin a good one the other guys can stare at their garmins all night it shouldn't matter.

I agree that anybody waiting on the garmin to tell them their dog is treed is going to loose the cast most all the time. I have timed my 220 before and it usually takes somewhere between 30 to 42 seconds after the dog is treed for the hand held to actually report the dog treed. So if you wait that long in most casts you are only going to get 25 to 50 tree points. I say leave them on all the time, you call yurs by the garmin and I'll call mine with my ears and we will see who gets 1st tree most of the time. LOL!!!

If they did, they would be committing a scratch offense.

You aren't the first judge who thinks his own rules are better than UKC's and you won't be the last. We can only hope any club would be smart enough to hand the card to anyone other than you.
