A man that writes a monthly ad on a female, lol, sent me a young female out of a highly advertised litter to finish into GRNITECH. When the leaves came off and I refused to take her to a hunt, because of slick treeing, he told me " She is out of .........." I said

No Chuck, he has never paid me for the gas and entries of the hunts that she was taken to. After talking to some of the other handlers he had, I was along way from the only one he has burned in this state. To be honest, the more I learned about the man, the happier I was he came and got his dog away from my kennel.

Mr billy word of mouth is what got this guy to call me same as it did a few other now I'm not sayen I'm good I don't believe enyone is good we just get lucky all I'm sayen is I shot him a price for what it would take to have a dog treeing coons night in and night out and I know yall have been hunting longer then I have been liven haha also are you kin to that guy who does primitive archery videos think he is out of Georgia he has the same last name as you hunts with cane arrows and stone points.

$5000 isn't all that out of line. I believe the man asked for the dog to tree coon night in and night out, that's a little more than just getting a pup started. If you have to drive at all that's probably 30 bucks a night and the man's time hase to be worth something. It's going to take a few months to get a pup treeing coon that consistant. I wouldn't hunt any dog for less than 1200 a month with todays feed and gas prices.

Chuck, I've never dealt with anyone so childish and couldn't handle the truth about their dog as him. Guess I could of lied and told him what he wanted to hear. LOL I think that is what he wanted.

you arent going to loose money at 400 a month the way i figure is there paying me to hunt there dog and i got to drop my own dog a few times a night for free i usually hunt the ones im training alone if there ready for it so mine only gets out a time or two but either way its better than 400 a month out of my pocket and like i said young dogs are just funner to hunt

atleast frank and some other see were i am comeing from and someone asked my vet bills for a check up on the dog every 2 weeks its 100 flat but for a broke leg or dog gets hit by a car or gutted by a hog or shot the sky is the limit id rather be safe the sorry when it comes to a mans dog and i have a contract with him.

Why are you taking a dog to the vet evey 2 weeks? Joseph Rhodes paid $8000 for SNAP and sent him to me back in october to be hunted in the hunts this year. He has been to the vet twice. Both times he had something wrong with him. I can see getting a dog a checkup every 3 months or so, but every 2 weeks? This is just my opinion, but every 2 weeks is a waste of money for vet bills when nothing is wrong with a dog. If I am hunting a dog for someone and they insist that I take it to the vet every 2 weeks, I probably would just pass on hunting the dog unless it had a reason to go. Thats just crazy in my opinion.

i take my female every 2 weeks she is off a father daughter cross being that close i have to keep her checked up alot more then my male nothing is wrong with her just dogs like this usely have joint problems earlier in life then other dogs hip problems etc plus im freinds withthe vet and i go shoot the bull with him every 2 weeks might as well take a dog to get a check up i dont take the same dog haha but 100 covers my dogs check up my dogs heart worm test and they get their flea pills

i got three squirrel dogs three coon dogs and a old housee dog cheyenne always goes with me though she is spooled plus i want to put her in shows so i keep her checked up alot more then my other dogs but im at the vet about ever 2 weeks with chy and one of my dogs

I think it is great that you are concerned about your dogs health, but look at it like this, $100 every 2 weeks, thats$2400 a year, $24,000 in 10 years.
I think I will stick to once a year check-ups and wait until something is wrong before I go to the vet.
Biggest key to dogs health is how he is cared for. Alot cheaper than a vet bill.

I had 2 walker males that never ever saw a vet there entire life and they lived to be 12 and 13. I've been coon hunting for 30 years and I'd bet my ranch that every dog I've ever had (and brother that's been a lot) I hadn't had to go to the vet 7 times total. Been raising cattle for 42 years and only been to vet 2 times with them. I was told at a young age that if you go to the vet all the time you ain't making much money. Guess I've just been lucky!

I worked at one of the bigger birddog kennels for 17 years. It kenneled several thousand dollars of dogs. We never went to the vet without a reason. As I said earlier, the key to a dogs health is how he is cared for.

i buy flea pills so there for i go t the vet every 2 weeks to get my pills for my dogs and if i got a dog that needs to go ill take him when i go but cheyenne always goes with me so she goes to the vet every 2 weeks haha it cost me 15 a pill that 15 dollars for 7 dogs every two weeks
