Was told by a couple different guys that they pick up a road killed possum, throw it in the box with the dog, and shock the crap out of the dog as they are driving. Said it completely broke their dogs off possum.

BEST WAY I FOUND ,WAS HUNTING 1 NIGHT WAS OVER A HOUR AWAY FROM HOME. MY DOG TREED 1 OF THEM OPOSSUMS,HAD TO WALK QUITE A WAY'S UP HILL TO GET DOG TREED.SEEN WHAT I DID ALL THAT WALKING UP HILL FOR,WAS MAD AS HECK,SHOT THE GRINNER OUT TO MY DOG WHEN HE GRABBED THE GRINNER I LIT HIM UP,CARRIED THAT GRINNER THE WHOLE WAY BACK TO TRUCK.PUT DOG IN BOX THREW GRINNER IN THERE WITH MY DOG,HEADED HOME ABOUT EVERY 5 MINUTES I WOULD SHOCK AND SHOCH HIM HARD.GOT HOME AND DOG DIDN'T WASTE ANY TIME GETN OUT,LOL. YOU COULD NEVER GET HIM TO TREE ANOTHER ONE,COULD HAVE PUT ONE IN HIS KENNEL AND HE WOULD HAVE NOT CAME OUT OF HIS HOUSE UNLESS THE GRINNER WOULD HAVE WENT IN.SHOCK HIM AND SHOCK HIM Goooooooooooood.

As far as I am concerned, that is the only way to do it.

Then take a stick and shove the possum out. When it hits the ground and dog grabs it, strike a wood match and throw it at the possum. I about fell off the tailgate when a hillbilly at a prohunt told us that one. LOL

I had a female yrs back out of Wild Quick and I don't know if it was because she was so smart and easy to break off junk but I did the later and IT WORKED she never had a possum problem again . Also had a buddy who together we rolled his hound down this big hill with a dead coyote in the barrel LOL still brings a smile and chuckle thinkin about the look in that dogs eyes when we let him out ....LOL but he was smart so smart and ran junk until he died . He even knew how to get out range before he opened on it . And still today is the best I myself and several around here has ever seen on a coon .

If you want to break your dog off possums, 1.) Catch a live possum. 2.) put live possum in dog box with dog in same compartment. 3.) ride around with dog and possum in same compartment shocking dog every 1/2 mile. 4.) release live possum and take broke dog home.

Im going to try turning a possum loose, or when i see one crossing the road, and let the dog start trailing it and press the button. It works on deer, why not on possums..? Cant hurt i dont think. Just an idea. If it works..i want the patent on it lol!!!

When all else fails try amonia. I guarantee a dog will never touch one again.
