Trucks I looked at this month.
Chev. 4 door, fwd etc. Sticker about $49000. Window sticker info.
Build with 37% parts imported. 63% parts from US. Built and assembled in Mexico.
Ford F150 ext cab FWD etc. about $37000. Window sticker info Approx. 1/3 parts imported from South Korea, Canada, and elsewhere 2/3 parts US. assembled in US and Canada whatever that means.

Toyota Tundra, 4 door FWD etc. About $36000 Window sticker 10% parts imported from Japan, 90% USA parts. Built and assembled in Texas.

Haven't looked at Dodge yet.
The trucks weren't all equipped. the same so the difference in price wasn't the issue. I'm still trying to decide which one I would call American trucks.
This was just an observation I made to satisfy myself not to argue with anyone, thought it was interesting enough to share.

Is the warranty on the Tundra still just 5/60,000? You better take a drive down to the Toyota dealer and take a peek in the garage, you'll probably see that its full with a few new Tundras in it. I did just that today.

I own a 2007 Tundra it sits in the driveway 90% of the time it only gets 13.5 miles to a gal. It has been in for 5 recalls. But when I want a truck it has the power to serve. I aslo own a 1995 Tacoma with well over 200,000 miles on it I also own a 1995 T-100 with well over 200,000 miles on it and the wife has a 2004 Rav4 with 180,000 miles on it they all have had very little maintence done. It is sad but I have to agree the new ones aren't as good as the older ones. But what new brand vehicle is?

That's because the gov. mandates foreign auto makers in this country to carry 100 mile warranty.

I own two f-150's,there is no better mid sized truck on the market period. I also own a 04 f-350 dually diesel, what a piece of sh!t. I would climb over a tall pile of f-350's to get to one of those Toyotas.

The proof is in the pudding people. Toyota is gonna reign supreme, always gonna be haters! But the best is the best just like a walker dog vs a redbone!

If you own a 6.0 diesel its your own dang fault. They have been out long enough that everybody knows they were the worst diesel motor ever put in a truck. In saying that they will never be another diesel motor as tough as the old 7.3 powerstrokes and 12 valve cummings.

it's not about being haters,, it's about American Pride. Something that appears you may have lost.
