1964,referring to all rights granted to an american citizen. Talked to my parents about this and they feel they have more freedoms and opportunity,so two different histories. That's just 49 years ago,so now to hear we're loosing freedoms because of the last 2 elections.....? Meant gained not gaining.

I dont know why your parents are lying to you but i would challenge you to give us some examples of some freedoms that have been expanded in the last 40 years. I could easily list many many freedoms that have been lost because the out of controll govt. has decided it has the authority to protect us from ourselves. New restrictive laws and regulations are passed every day and at such an alarming rate that the average citizen could never begin to comprehend them all.

I see. I do believe that we are losing freedoms and rights. I don't think it started happening in the last two elections. It's been happening for a long time. It doesn't matter to me what color the persons skin is in the white house. I do care if we can't even prove he's a citizen. I do care if hes trying to disarm us so another country can invade us on our home land. I do care if he's not a Christian and not just Obama. I felt that we were at a loss with both of the candidates this time. I do care about what the future is for my children and their children. I don't need a minority of the country and that being wealthy being my leaders. It is time for common working men and women to lead this nation. The down side of this is we can't afford to run an election. I surely wish we could.

Your math skills rate right up there with your understanding of other important issues. 2013-40 would be 1973.

The common man has stood by year after year and watched this gov. stink this country and will continue to stand by because we won't stick together. Common people don't even run congress and local politics is a great example what our big problems are. How do you make so many diiferent religions, races, personal beliefs work to benifit us as americans? This is very things that keep us divided,we fight like animals to put a man in charge that most likely don't give a rats...about us,he or she just knows how to get elected. Why do you question obama citizenship or whether or not he's christian? How many poor pres.can you name or you voted for?

why is it so hard for you dems to get this. OBAMA RAN ON AND WAS ELECTED ON RISING ABOVE THIS MESS, CHANGING WASHINGTON ANDBRINGING AMERICA TOGETHER, and he has done the exact opposite and has these issues worse than they ever have been. he is bringing the greatest country in the history of the world to its knees.

lol, obama was elected on popularity not policy.

most of america wants spending cuts, most of american did NOT want obamacare, so what gives along that logic?

Are you sure? You think this election was about popularity? Did you follow the repuds.primaries and romney own policies. Please explain he popularity? Popular policies of President obama is why he got elected.

College students probably have taken a class in critical thinking, watched the repubs.primaries, listen the to romney and made a decision. College student overwhelmingly voting for obama might say more about how unpopular your party is than obama's popularity.

whats foolish is going to college and voting for a president that is creating an environment where only 1 in 2 college grads will get a job. you dont need any critical thinking classes to figure out, just common sense

i think next election, the repubs will do a beter job of getting the conservative message out. you would think the disaster the last 4 years have been at times would have made that unnecessary, but obviuosly not
