I believe most Mad Dog team members believe Jesus Christ is their Savior.
I believe that that is the reason we, as team members, handle things differently than others.
I believe most team members started out as Mad Dog customers before they became members.
I believe there are three groups of men on the team: l) hard core hunters and competitors, 2) some who do not hunt as hard, but still compete, 3) a group that consists of people that try to support everybody else when they can and take the pressure off though humor, right “splash.”
Last, it is a great pleasure to be on the Mad Dog team and be associated with such fine hunters and dogs.....Doug Linn

how can you have a hunter that competes but doesnt hunt hard............if they do any winning they must be professional handlers......etc...cheats

To clarify, I'm over sixty and one of those who doesn't hunt as hard as I'd like to because I have lost over one third of my lungs and have a pace maker that runs my heart one hunderd percent of the time. I still enjoy going to the hunts and competing when I can . I win a few and lose a lot, but I keep on plugging along. I have been in Mo. almost five years now. Before that I was in Ca. bear hunting for twenty three years and did not hunt in night hunts. I'm by no means a professional handler and I don't cheat! God is good...Doug Linn

I would classify myself as a not so hard hunter who competes. Originally I was looking for hounds I felt our kids could compete against adults and have a chance to win. Most of our trophies an awards at home were won by our 12yo and 16yo sons. I guess you are asking if they are professional handlers? No the are not. You bring up a great point. If these hounds were hunted by hard hard hunters there is no telling what could be done with them. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

weather

Doug,
It is hard to believe, with all the rain we have been getting, that we are still behind our rain totals. Every thing is green and the grass is growing, suppose to be near 80 today and a chance of snow tonight. Guys from WI. are down to breed a female and to do some hunting. See ya over at Pauls...........Tim

Hunt

I went out last night with Paul and astro. I took Froggie and Dolly. We had a good hunt with three trees and saw two coon. Next time I think I won't hunt those two females togeather because they don't have any reverse at all! Paul, Froggie wants a rematch as soon as the swelling in her leg goes down. God is good.....Doug
