I started hunted in the 30's and have been around the competition hunts since they started in the 40's. I tried it in the 60's and made 4 Ntch; but. i quit because of the people I had to hunt with.

It would be great if CIRCLE points were done away with =BUT= it will never happen, too much money is involved; and too many people want to protect their tree dogs. The entire breeding programs would have to be changed if the rules went to plus or minus and hunters will not accept that.

I still coon hunt and have never regreted droping out of competition. To me its just a game people play useing dog. It doesn't have anything to do with actual coon hunting. In the last 75 years i have spent many night in the woods listening to frogs, crickets, owls, wipporwills and my hounds!!!

You people argue over the rules of your hunting game while i enjoy real coonhunting for my last few years.

I WASN'T THERE AND WANTED TO SEE IF IT WAS AS REDICULOUS AS THEY REPORTED IT WAS. THE DISCRIPTION I WAS GIVEN WAS GIVEN WAS, "IT WAS ABOUT BIG AROUND AS A MASON JAR, 14 FEET TALL,AND HAD 5 LIMBS AND NO LEAVES." NEXT TIME I'M OUT THERE I'LL TAKE A REAL PIC OF IT.

I dont ever have a problem. Dont hunt much ukc though. I will say the worst fights between grown men Ive ever saw were for that yellow win slip.

You don't get that yellow slip wiht any thing but plus some people seam to thank lieing for a dog makes it something more than it is if those people were honest with their self about what a dog is really doing a lot of those same dogs would be werm food

plus points

People fuss about winning with minus points in pkc. Then those same people circle trees like this because you have to have plus points to win. The main reason I dont hunt ukc, and believe me i have hunted a lot of them. They just dont want to take their minus.

There was a thread a while back about the advisor and cell phone use. You cant use the hunt timer app in a ukc hunt, it would stand to reason the camera on a phone couldnt be used either. Thats my opinion/interpretation of it.

Like I said

1--Join a club and be a guide/judge.
2-- Nothing said about a vote taken on the bad tree unless I missed it. No ? and no vote tells me you didn't do your part to assure a fair cast.
3--Every handler should know the rules..lol
