No doubt a prime hide is a good thing, but I ain't seen a buyer take the time to check the hides for that In years...usta tell ya blue, smokey,n prime'....not anymore..........a seasoned hide buyer can pile em in 3 piles in a matter of mins and maybe blows on r parts one here n there n will quote ya an avg......I kinda figure a well kept hide at 48+ inches nose to tail will put $23-$32 in yer wallet......the 52+inch hides usually r $28-32........anything under 48 will draw the $17/$12/$6 etc depending on holes ,length etc.......football coon kill yer check...leave em in the tree for next yr....won't make r break ya.

 Coon Prices

Where do the best coon come from? Those Wisconsin and Minnesota averages are real good. I dont think we could average that in Michigan. Even are best November and December coon I dont think will hit those averages, I hope I'm wrong. How about muskrats and beaver prices ? Hope everyone is having a great year. Having a ton of fun hunting and trapping with my kids this year. Groenwold seems to grade super tough, but they still blow the doors off the country buyers. I've shipped to Canada a couple times and didn't like it. What do the majority do out there? Were all in this together, any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Ohio I sold last week and got 12.00 on the triples. My boy had some rats and got 7.50 stretched.

I was getting $5 a beaver last year. It wasn't worth carrying them out of the swamp.

VINCE....HUNG ON NAIL BY NOSE TO END OF TAIL. U CAN MEASURE THEM NOSE TO BASE IF YA WANT,WONT MAKE MUCHA DIF...JUST USIN DIF NUMBERS.....IM JUST TELLING YA HOW I FIGURE what I got to sell. A 52" coon is a nice 30/35 #. Yes there r a number of coon that size...........

Abuddy dropped be off a big Mink that he shot in his chicken coop. Are they worth skinnin? Do ya case skin em like a coon?
