Don't know about the extra mile thing but sure did drive enough of them for sure. Huntings been a bit tough, coon not moving real good early and haven't had a chance to get out later. Pete, I hope my effort pays off. I have a good feeling about it. Shane, haven't had time to get back at ya but I will pm ya soon on what's going on about this litter,if I get one on the ground. Been layed up the last few nites. Looks like ole man winter is making his self known. Coons haven't been moving well so hopefully this cold spell will den them up a bit and they'll move better with the next warmup. Hope everyone has a joyous holiday season with family and friends. I got together will my buddy Bill and we hunted Alice II and Jake tonite before the big storm gets here in the morning. Forecast is for 8 to 12 inches by Thurs morning so we firgured we better turn loose tonite!! Treed up on 3 dens, 1 in a culvert pipe and ended the nite with treeing a big ole boar that was layed up a spell on the outside in a big oak. Shot it out and called it a nite!! Looks like we'll come to a halt in hunting here real soon!! Had a good time Bill, Later, Danny G.

From Danny G. and Family at Blue Creek Kennels. I hope everyone enjoyed a nice holiday season and wish everyone hunting blues good luck in thier adventures with hound in 2013. The snow here pretty much has us dened up and sitting on the recliner watchin the tube for the most part. I've been bow hunting trying to kill that elusive buck. Still haven't got it done but muzzle loader season is this coming weekend. Maybe I'll get the chance to pull the trigger on a good buck! As always,all are welcome to come for a hunt when passing by. owned a littermate to joe that made nitech and won state chmpship at 13 mnths old. The cross joe is from is actually tighter then it looks . polly b is off of old echo also (if i remeber right, could be grdghtr), plus old echos dam is a littermate to chief (bullets sire), s.r. spud was half brother to chief and s.r. jean is littermate to old echo. They should be very independant and start very early.

Looks like Alice is with pups. Little early to tell for sure! Been hunting Alice II after the snow melted off and have been treeing some coon. Looks like we have a problem with distemper running our coon population down a bit. Guys hounds have been catching some sick coon on the ground while hunting. Been a bit tough even hitting some tracks to run and tree. Hopefully it's not as bad as it apeers to be right now. Springtime will tell the true outcome. Tom,thanks for the info on Joe. I'm sure looking forward to working with pups from this cross. Happy huntin, Danny G.

Tuff nite that was cold windy and ground frozen! First turnout found Alice II treed with a grinner and Roxy 3/4 mile thru the country treed with a coon that we shot out. Second drop found Alice II in 700 yards treed with a coon we shot out and Roxy opposite direction treed up on a den! Heck of a job for 2 young hounds that just turned 16 months old. We hunted deep hills and hollows thru the nite and I can feel it a bit this morning! Thanks Ron for having me down for a hunt!! Danny G.

Sounds like you boys had a good hunt I took Jake out last night hit 1 big woods got 2 dens and 5 singles that I shot out he only ran 2 tracks and all the rest were layups wore me out and I was on flat ground. Talk to you Later Bill

Looks like the couch is going to be in good use for a few days! Cleaning up and working on the bass boat is in the plans also. I did manage to get out with Bill and his buddy Tommy for a hunt when the weather turned nice for a few days. I also took a drive to Willard ,Oh to pick up Mark Rannucci's male pup out of Piazon and Alice cross to hunt him for Mark and see what he's like. Mark is going to sell him! He looked real nice the first drop, over 1/2 mile in with the meat hangin. Super nice locate and hard treedog! Time will tell on him once I get him back in the timber,weather permitting of course! Alice is due in 11 or 12 more days and looks like my plans are to move her into the heated off garage after I get a kennel set up in there to whelp her pups. Looks like the weathers going to stay cold for a while. I did take a ride with Sparky and Luke Lock to Ed Meads on Fri. nite. Sparky had to go pick up his stud puppy from Jet 9 and Joleene cross. Did get to chat with Ed a short while before we loaded up and headed back home! Got back around 2 in the morning! Thanks Sparky for asking me to join the trip! Brought back some old memories after we pulled in the driveway. I made that trip faithfully 3 weekends a month while partnered up with Ed with Jet 8 and Jet 7. Those were some great times. Decided to whelp the Echo Joe and Alice pups in the heated garage just to make things a bit more comforitable for Alice and of course myself! My buddy Bill lent me some material to build a whelping box and I set everything up today! I'm ready when she is, can't wait for these pups to be born and I hope everything goes well with the whole ordeal! It's driving me a bit crazier than I already am!! Like a kid waiting to go to a candy store!! Thanks Bill for the help!! Bill is getting a male pup from this cross and is going to help me get them started when the time is right. Bill's hunted with Alice and Alice II quite a bit and feels the same way about this cross I do!! This cross will be some eye turners. My vision is being on the podium in 2014 winning the world hunt with a young hound less than two years old!! Doesn't hurt to dream a bit I guess!! LOL! I hoping to get Mark Ranucci's male out of Alice soon as the weather breaks a bit. Soon as the coon are moving, I'm cutting him loose! Nice acting young hound from what I've seen so far! Well, I guess it's time to shower up,get something to eat and watch the super bowl game! Good huntin to all, Danny G.

With her personality,she does seem to grow on ya a bit! Maybe that's the reason she's back home here at the kennel! She can also tree ya a coon every now and then to boot!! LOL!!

Hunted Mark Ranucci's young male tonite with my buddy Bill. Started off great. Got struck in fairly deep and ran the track about a 1/2 mile in and got wooded with the coon hangin. Real nice job for 16 month old youngster. Rest of the night was a bit different. Just didn't get it together real good. Should make a nice hound as he gets a bit older. I would of liked to had this youngster from the start. Never was to crazy about hunting something that has been started by another unless thier alot younger. Under 9 months.

Took Alice to the vet to have an xray done to see how many pups she has in her so I knew what to expect! Well, they didn't have an exact answer. Told me 7 to 9 and possibly more. Too stacked and bunched up to tell on the pictures. She weighed 53 lbs when I had her bred. At the vets she weighed 77.1 lbs so she has gained 24 lbs and will gain a few more lbs before pups are born. My guess is 12 just by judging how big she was the last litter when she had 10 and raised 9 of them. Sure hope goes well with her whelping this litter. Can't wait for them to hit the ground!!
