I've been talking with them also about getting Hi-Stanard but not not sure how that is going. We need to stay on them about getting something.

U bet pal,u know I used to feed Hi Standard also & liked it but looking into it also it has corn as it's 2nd or 3rd ingredient...the only reason I started looking this year is cause I road hunt my Curs & feist & they got super hot & I know it was warm but it was more than that...that's when I changed to a meat based feed...I call on Shannon so I'm working him pretty hard....

Mr Grivetti

Did your dogs seem to run a little cooler on the 24/20. The folks that carry it here in my state are a little over 2 hrs away. When I get up there and give it a whirle I may inquire about a1/2m tractor trailer load myself. There are alot of folks in the area that have dogs, most popular feed around here is Pride and Purina, it is jsut easier to get.

I have read alot of good things about that feed and even posted on the supplier board about it a month ago.

I liked the HI-Standard feed as well, but it was getting pretty pricey too.

Thanks to Rick and Tom for picking me up some of the Victor feed. I definately like the price. Hope it lives up to all the hype. Rick I think Emerson wants to buy a bag off of me so that would be another one from our area feeding it.

Wormy if you want something comparable to Hi-Standard go to Dickey Bubs in Union and buy Sportmix. They have a meet base that compares to Hi-Standard, and a Chicken based that compares to Diamond. I have fed both and didn't notice any difference between the feeds except the Sportmix is cheaper than Diamond or Hi-Standard.

PRIDE , it use to be called Coonhunters Pride then the company dropped the coonhunter and jsut called it Pride. They have a Pride pro it is made a little different and is good feed. Alot of the folks in the south like the 24/20 yr around it is in a black bag and usually runs around $22 a bag or a little better, I have no idea what it is now, everything is going up.,

Good old Purina dogshow at Walmart 56# for 22 bucks. Dogs look good and hunt harder and longer than i can. I have tried most of the popular expensive feeds and i always seem to come back to purina.
