How does Gunner hunt? Alot of guys been talking about his mouth, so how does he hunt? I like the looks and the blood he has. Do you plan on breeding any females soon?

Cant speak for gunner but his son is fast will go find the coons deep or close and when i say deep not 400 to 600 but more like half mile or better not scatter brain hunting cut him and it is straigt to looking for a coon and is pretty good drifter to getting one treed and full of confidence and i would say a good portion of this comes from gunner. had a full brother to barney and he was the same way, but he got killed by a car he had the same traits and ability also. I will promise you one thing you will have no problem getting them to go or get out performed by any other breed top notch coondogs!!!!!!

Night Runner,


Gunner hunts plenty deep, especially in these hills. You can hear him across the mountain when he's in there a good peice.

But, the good thing is you don't have to take my word for it. He ain't too old nor too valuable. Bring your boots and light and find out yourself. Southern Ohio isn't too far!!!! I also have pups off a few different litters I can show you as well.

Got a few females lined up, call me for details, too much to post. 606 524 4108.

I had the opportunity to hunt with a young male out of Gunner tonight. First, I must say I have not hunted with many Black and Tans in quite a few years and was not sure what to expect. I do not know anything about the Black and Tan breed or any current stud dogs that are being promoted, but what I can tell you is what I experienced tonight while hunting with Chris Rigg and a Gunner pup he calls Barney. The dog did an exceptional job all night making three tree's seeing two coon. He was extremely independent and a get in the dark fast type of hound. The dog was under two coon by himself and did an outstanding job of working through a cutover and swamp bottom in order to put them up!

I would like to know if others are experiencing these same traits in their Gunner pups? I believe I could find myself hunting a Gunner pup in the very near future!

Nathan,why dont you bring Gunner down and let's cut em loose?
Bring Crow also. I would like to see em go!!!!!!
Ive got some good hunting.I hunt almost everynight .Give me a call. I used to own a hound that was bred a lil like Gunner.

Todd you'll have to wait a month to see Crow. He has a bum leg. UT Vet Hospital says 4 to 6 weeks. After he's cleared to action we will go hunting. In the meantime I'm training Project X.....

Just got home from our yearly camping trip in Ohio - had a great week of hunting - took this video on the last drop last night - we were hunting Monkey alone - Monkey is out of the GUNNER/FLO cross - this cross produced some nice dogs...
