A couple of years ago I was at BassPro after turkey season. They had turkey hunting vests on sale. I like mine it's mesh, has plenty of pockets and a lot cheaper than a "coonhunting"vest.

I was always told it's better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

I wish they made one with a pocket where the battery strap is. I have one with mesh and like it but I have a cap light and the strap is useless to me.

Does any of these vests have a pocket for a I-phone?My vest does not.Walking these wet bean and cornfields my phone keeps getting soaked. It would be nice to keep it high and dry in a vest pocket.

I wear the Bright Eyes, but like Redgy, I have never worn anything but that. I like it really well. I would not want to hunt without one now that i finally decided a vest was in order.

I have the Dans vest, and overall it is not bad, but my wife says I am critical of everything and always want to make changes. The things I would change: The huge pocket on the right side hangs over the controls of a belt light if it is used. Also so much of the storage in one spot concentrates the weight so much that I end up carrying more than i need to try to even it out. I also dont like the snap for the Garmin pocket. I would rather it be velcro or some type of buckle. Trying to close it I end up putting pressure on the front of the Garmin with the inside of the metal snap.
I made a bandolier type of setup that I use now and love it. Plus it makes me look tough.

Valley Creek vest hands down. It is tough as nails and has enough pockets for most everything . I do agree that they could remove the belt for the light and put another pocket in its place.. Than it would be perfect for me... Joe
