I've got a 3 yr old that's been bit 4 times that I know of. I have a fluid pill, antibiotic, and pain/fever reducer I keep handy. Also use the DMSO and feed bacon grease. I started giving mine the snake vaccine and it works well. I know he got bit one time after I started using it and he limped on his leg for about 30 to 45 minutes but it never swoll and he was fine, went back hunting the next night. They cost $25 at the vet and it's recommended to give it once a year but living in east central Mississippi etc I give it every 6 months.
