Kind of. But I don't even want a silent cur. He never said that I saw, the status or age of the dog or the breed nor how much experience. My old buddy used to say a dog has to learn how to lie, puppies are honest. Is he silent on track because he doesn't yet get excited enough to open? NOt worked his nose night after night to know what he is smelling for? Then shut up till he knows vice versa for a pup going to treeing at six months because that is Bred in him and he be MOnkey See, Monkey DOO. What is the story on the pup? What Line? What breed and many of us can make an educated guess exspecially if it is tree happy. Fewer know doodly about silent dogs. Does he get struck before the sun goes down or is it midnight? Generally hot tracks that can bust loose happen at dusk. At Midnight, expect wherever he hits a %50 chance it is an old trail, cold trail and he ain't excited if he is a pup. I'll tell you boys one MORE time untill you start to hanging GPS collars on coons you will be full of wild assed guessing just like your Granddaddies had to do LOL.
