My old dog Bozo died today. It was like he was asleep. He was the first COONDOG that I owned. I started my kennel with Bozo. I have 3 dogs out of Bozo, 2 females and 1 male. I really like them. Bozo was 10 years old in late November. It's funny, we had him at the vet for his yearly check-up just last week. He checked out fine. Guess when you lose a good one, it always feels unexpected. TO Bozo: you will missed old boy! It's because of you that I love this sport the way I do. Thanks for the memories, boy. I will dearly miss that bawl mouth. Bozo was not my dog, he was part of our family.

Sorry to hear that.My old dog is 11 now and it seems like yesterday she was a pup chasing cats.Its hard watching them get old.

We just got this female bred to Turk. ( Mad Dog John II )....These should produce dogs looking to get treed, but that go hunting. Accurate, and INDEPENDENT.

Sammy is starting to show a bit. Super excited about these pups. I will be selling some pups. They will be Performanced...$150


Until all this snow got here, I was hunting Bingo pretty hard. Weather permitting, I am going to hunt him at Excelsior Springs in a couple weeks. If all goes well, Graham a couple weeks later.

Sammy really starting to show. Excited about this litter. Sammy should have a male finish to nite ch this spring/summer. He's got a first place, he just needs to be taken to the hunts. I may offer the owner an 'incentive' if I have too. lol..... Hes a coondog!..........Snow is about gone, so Bingo and myself will be able to get back out there. Looking forward to hunting him this year. He just had his first season on him. Still got some kinks need worked out, but enjoying him in the mean time. Got a litter mate sister, Hope, that needs some ALONE time in the woods. She will be a nice female, I think..........Lastly, I need to hunt with several dogs that I am considering breeding my Hope female to when the time comes. I want to do my homework. Ive got a couple that I am very interested in. Tonight, I may just take Bingo to the corner pasture and turn him loose "just once". LOL....Happy hunting...........Jim Harper

Well, off to play ball for a couple hours, then I have to choose between MU and coon hunting. Hmmmmm.......shouldnt have much problem in round 1, so I will more than likely hunt. My opinion is that MU is playing its best ball at the right time. If Pressey can make good shot selections, and we can put something consistent together, MIZZOU is a team no body wants to see in the dance. Maybe we can get in the same region as KU, I missed the rivalry this year.

WHEW!!!!! What a night last night. I went out around 11:30, roght off the bat, Hope struck in and pushed a track over a hill. Bingo opened 70 yds to her right, went 25 yards and had a coon. I let him stay treed and went down to the creek cause I heard so fussing. Hope had caught a coon in the creek, but she wasn't real sure about the outcome. LOL.....She backed off til he tried to run then shed jump him.....back up....jump him....lol this went on for about 6-7 minutes and I finished it for her. We were about 115 yards from Bingo....He never skipped a beat. Let out a big bawl when he heard the shot, chop...chop...chop! It was cold and misting. ......Second drop, den tree for Bingo. Hope missed about 20 yards away, but held pressure for thats worth. Third drop, Bingo had a coon, Hope didnt back him, but didnt get treed either. Caught her on the road. Last drop, Hope alone, treed a possum. Overall, good night, lots of fun. GOt in at 2:30. .....Sure do widh Spring would get here and STAY!........Happy hunting, Jim Harper

Here are a couple pictures of pup thats running loose on the farm. He's 4 months old. Big, about 35 lbs! Nice loud mouth on him. He's some kind of Norhtern/Jet blood. Haven't gotten papers on him yet. He's got something about him that I like!?

Took Bingo the last couple nights with a buddy's black gyp. Both dogs are looking good, and had 2 very enjoyable nights! 3 for 3 the first night, 3 coon and a den last night. I was home in bed both nights before midnight.

We're excited about a couple of females that will be coming to our farm this summer. One is a BOOMER 2 female, 3 yrs old, she will be bred to Bingo at first chance. The other, a pup, will be doubled on Harpeth River Blue Jack. Looking forward to the future!
