Yes a very Full Blood Test would be required and it could take Many blood test ..

I spent a whole lot of money on Testing and Different Vets. .. I had to take blood while my hound was having the Seizure just to find out what Triggered it ..

Only to find out it was just a simple lack of Magnesium in the Diet ... You can feed all you dogs the same food and Still have 1 that may react differently to a low magnesium level ......

Forget about Suggar ... The Corn in the Feed has To much already ..

Seizures

Also if your dog feed doesn't contain dicalcium phosphate you are taking a risk of ricketts in fast growing large breed dog.

i was told that if the seizures starte when they are older it usually caused by brain damage caused during birth or from an accident or is herditary. i took her outlast. she stayed infront of the truck most of the time. she never went with the other dogs at all. she barked a lot as if she wished she had gone. maybe she's getting better.

Have you had them to check her for arlicia however you spell it. I've seen dogs that would stare a whole through you like they don't recognize you. Just a tick fever that I still don't think they have a nailed down cure for.

took her hunting last night with the rest of the pack. i almost always road hunt and this dog has roaded at least 200 miles. last night she wouldn't get out front of the truck. she just followed. i had to keep stopping to let her catch up. she never got off the road and into the bush. she did get infront a moment but when the dogs left her she got behind the truck. she was startled every time one of the dogs ran past her. this morning she seemed very happy and kept barking at the door to get me to come outside. i'll have to see how this works out. the vet did a complete blood count and a blood test where the analyze the blood to see if several elements are at the right level. this cost a lot. i can't justify spending hard earned money for extraordinary test. besides, if it was anything other than epiliepsi the symtoms would not have gone away ater taking phenabarbitol.
