Sorry about the dog its sad to say the least.

But theres some of the most ignorant uneducated comments been posted on this thread about Pitbulls I have ever seen. Owned them for 15 plus years. Dog aggression in some is common. Remember they were bred ( not trained ) to fight. Just as coonhounds were bred to tree coon. Yes that breeding has to be tuned either way correctly to further instill it or to refrain from such. Irresponsible owners on both ends generally cause the problems with pitbulls. And just because a dog looks like a pitbull does not mean it is. The crossing of pitbulls is not very smart and can cause an uneven tempered animal. Think of walking in a pit years ago to handle your fighting dog in pain during a match. Are you gonna go inside there with a man eater?? No. A true pitbull idnt gonna be human aggressive. They were bred not to be human aggresive. The back yard breeders and such trying to make a dollar have created a subpar animal that looks like a pitbull but is far from one in actions or temperament.

Thanks man. Im getting a pup from Mike thats has some of the same background as Sheriff had. The black n tan pup is healing up and I should start to be able to work him in a few more weeks. He had a heck of a hunk missing and about 20 punctures but with penicillan and peroxide, he is healing good. If the pup doesnt work out I may call ya on a english pup. Hope your doing well and I will prob call ya this summer if you want to hit some corn fields in Amelia. Thanks man.
