I own a Browning .380 and it is a good pistol. I've not had any problems with it. It stays in my truck at all times.

they make different grips for the revolvers,i used to like the original grips of the s&w but now they dont feel right.
these oversize rosewood handles feel great useing 1 or 2 hands.
the rubber paquer(spelling) handles also feel good ,but not as pretty as the rosewood,,lol

you want to try different grips and guns till you find one that feels just right useing 1hand.nice thing about the model 36 j frame is its double action and with the lazer added on any gun ,all you have to do is point and shoot.

with the lazerlyte lazers ,it has a button u hit with your thumb,easer/faster than the switch on the chisom trace like on my mark II..

whatever you end up with you want a lazer that you dont have to fumble with to turn it on..

One of the reasons they (instructors) steer women towards revolvers is many women do not have as firm of a grip through their wrist which can lead to malfunction of a semi. Also remember you can fire them from inside your purse or a jacket pocket or anything else when a situation arises that prohibits a standard draw. Revolvers may not be as "cool" but there is no question they are the most dependable. Just more to think about.

I know what you're going through. I went back and forth on calibers and actions for months when I was deciding on my first carry pistol.

I HAVE TWO 22 CAL RUGER SINGLE SIX. THE CYLNDER CAN BE CHANGED. I KEEP ONE STRAIGHT 22 OTHER IS 22 MAG. GOOD SHOOTING GUNS. I HAVE A SCOPE ON MAG.

Being able to fire while still some what concealed is a plus. However, I do not carry a purse or any type of hand bag, backpack, etc.

Too many options out there!
