sounds like a honest judge to me that need a little guides help
but the last 3-4 threads talking about trespassing tickets makes you
wonder how long before the 1hr hunts.

!! Good Grief !!

Darned if this don't beat all
All you recliner & computer judges need to get a grip.
Here you have a young guy who tried to judge & you all want to blame him for the mistakes,
& then you want to blame the club or MOH for not making it perfect for you.
If you think this UKC hunting is a perfect world with no mistakes & rules are 100% scored everytime, your are living in never-never land & there is lots of ocean-front property for sale in Kansas.
There was 3 more guys on this cast but no one wants to give them any credit for this happening.
If you drove 2 hrs or 10 minutes & was on this cast, you have just as much blame as the judge & the other cast members.

Happy Hunting

This is my biggest complaint in UKC, very few people know the rules. I always judge, most the time they don't ask, they just appoint me but I'm fine with that. There is nothing worst than having a judge that don't know the rules or won't make that tuff call just to keep everyone happy. Normally, I spend half my time trying to help someone understand what just happened and why its done that way. I don't mind most the time but after a while it does get old. We all make mistakes but everything in this situation is wrong, from recasting to deleting strike points.

The biggest problem with UKC hunts is the fact that people actually believe that you can "vote" on everything and that "voting" makes it OK.

They have been wrongly taught that way and then they perpetuate it by getting a young hunter that doesn't know the rules and "voting" to do something against the rules.

Then when someone that actually knows the rules says "the rules don't allow us to do that" THEY are the ones that are put down, called a "slick" handler or dragged through the mud because they don't go along with breaking the rules like the rest of the hunters that are ignorant of the rules wants to do.

If someone had stood up and stood their ground on this cast and said "NO WE CAN'T SCORE THE TREES OUT OF ORDER" it would have stopped all that but that person would have been branded a troublemaker or "causing problems".

and why do some people act like this hunt is so important , its just a hunt , nothing more. no ones life is going to change over it . even though some coon hunters wont work because they think they need to hunt all the time .
