I would say people like you are the reason they are argued about so much. Some one that thinks there interpretation is the only one.
If they are so black and white why do they have to have the advisor? Now don't get me wrong. I think if you have 4 people in your cast that are willing to be good sports there are no reason for trouble in the woods but these rules being easy. Give me a break. I have seen people on here that have hunted in UKC for years and years be wrong in some of the rules questions threads.
They would be easy if all the dogs would hunt together like they were bred to do. But when they go 4 differant directions look out.
In all the hunts I have been in though the ones that start the arguing is someone that KNOWS THE RULES and won't listen to anyone.
Most of the cheaters I have seen strike there dog on yours or say they moved when they didn't. Things you can't go back to the MOH and call them on.
