I have found a way to cure it also , two tablespoons of Duramycin (spelling ) in 8 oz of water , give dog at least 5 to 10 cc twice a dy , also to settle stomach use a crushed up rolaids and mix so you can pour down throat . To get the vitamins back use Ensure Plus and a syringe to put down throat . The Duramycin cost around 6$ and can be found at Tractor Supply .

Think about bleach , would you really want to eat or drink after havin bleach run down your throat .

Dogs don't want to eat or drink simply because they got parvo. You got to force whatever they get down them.

I do this too, but I do buy bleach that has no scents or anything else non-bleach added. All city water has chlorine in it and public pool water has a pretty strong chlorine content. I thought everybody knew that.

I use well water. As long as the tubs have a good thick layer of green algae in it, I know I'm good to go . Any other color, I scrub them down and bleach them out and start over.

If you don't believe me, look in a horse trough. The cleanest looking water you ever want to see. I have a friend that is a horse woman. I call her a Crazy Horse Woman. If we get back about dark she liable to take a bath in the trough. I cleaned it out a time or two for the horses sake. I finally figured the algae still looked good so I quit. She didn't use soap, just scrubed down with the algae.

Have you ever used it on a dog that had parvo? or are you relying on what you learned in plumbing school?

What is the chlorine concentration in ppm in city water?

I think it is used because it kills bacteria, algae, fungi and virus. Now, if it kills them in a city sewer then why can't it kill them in a dog's sewer pipes? As far as keeping the dog hydrated, that is a good thing. As far as letting his immune system defeat the Parvo just by that, then why did he come down with Parvo to start with? I used to watch them die till I used the Clorox but to each his 25 % chance I reckon.
