i also have a garmin but i have forgot one time to turn the collar on and we went huntin the last place i had my collar on was at my house told my buddy i said its sayin they are 636 yards that way he said if they are there at your house i had just got my garmin not very happy i told them it was for sale till thank god we found dogs i told my brother-in -law that light is not flashin on the collar realized what i had done now i wouldnt take a farm in Texas for my garmin takes all the guess work out of it.

Heres the solution.......I didnt read all the posts someone may already said this idea...

Take some white athletic tape about one foot long and fold it over on itself with the magnet in the fold. This way the magnet has "tails" on it and you will never forget to take it out cause the tails are highly visible and always reminding that the mag is in the collar. The tape wont affect turning the collar off either, but use your tracker just to make sure, to save on batteries.

Hope this helps, it did for me.

Thats a great Idea...

I forgot to take the magnets off one time...than decide to keep em on the side of the truck so they would be easy to find......just cant remember where on the truck I put em....under a side railing? under the bumper.... by a tire ....somewhere on my truck are the magnets.....so I now have some heavy magnet pieces stuck to the side of the collars and every nite gotta turn the tracker on to make sure there not beepin......aaww.

with that tape Idea, I could prolly find the magnets now....
