In my opinion, and I'm sure this will make a few people disagree..

If a male is molesting a not in heat female and gets aggressive towards her when he is shocked.. The dog is a cull.. And I have seen males to do.. I would not own, or at least let him have his nuts if he acted like that..

I'm spoiled.. I have one of those males that I can hunt with in heat females and he hunts.. Now I don't push my luck with it very often.. but it spoils you towards the males that you can't do that with.. I've cut 2 and gotten rid of more males that get female stupid..

I'd try the e collar.. Good luck with it..

WELL MYSELF IF I HAD A MALE DOG THAT WOULD HUNT WITH A FEMAL THAT WAS IN HEAT AND WOULDN'T HUMP HER I WOULD THINK MAYBE HE WAS QUEER. IF I WAS OUT WITH A HOT WOMAN THE LAST THING ON MY MIND WOULD BE RUNNING A COON , WOULD BE TRYING TO RUN SOMETHING IN A HOLE.

A few years ago I drove my HOT Female to Tenn. to Breed to Sheltons Hammer ... I told Robert that I would Like to Hunt them together just to See the Flow of Them ... We turned them
Loose and They Hunted and Hammer Hunted Very Hard and Never even Glanced in Her Direction ... When we got back to Roberts House We Bred Them And he was All over her ...

Once Before I did this exact same thing .. The Male and My Female Hunted together for 45 min. after treeing a Coon we took a Smoke Break and the 2 hounds Locked up right their, We Waited till they were Finished then went and Treed another Coon ..

My mom was walking two curs down the driveway to walk on the road, she forgot to take off a yard containment collar from one and when he started getting shocked it erupted into a dog fight between the two, brothers that have been around each other since they were born with no problems.

I think that in your circumstance you want him to know that you are upset and a switch or a boot let's him know that you are the cause of him getting corrected.

Just my 2 cents, I am sure that some one will disagree.

i agree which one is dumber the one doing the humping or the 1
getting humped.i would put the shocking collar on the bitch

Don't worry, he's not queer. I've raised quite a few litters off of him. Like I said I don't push my luck with running him with a ready to be bred, in standing heat, female (I won't hunt the female at that point) but I've hunted him with plenty of females that are coming in or going out. He's not interested in chasing around a female that he isn't going to get anything from. Maybe he's smarter then most males, canine or human

WELL WHAT IS IT YOUR FIRST POST SAID YOU COULD HUNT YOUR MALE WITH A FEMALE IN HEAT ? AND NOW YOU ARE SAYING THAT YOU CAN HUNT HIM WITH ONE COMMING IN HEAT OR GOING OUT OF HEAT.THERE IS A DIFFRENCE BETWEEN ONE THAT IS IN STANDING HEAT,AND ONE THAT IN COMMING IN OR GOING OUT.THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT SMELL JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER LIVING CREATURE ,ANIMAL OR HUMAN

Really?

I can hunt him with in standing heat females.. I do on a regular basis hunt him with females coming in and out.. I don't hunt my ready to breed females as a general practice.. Because I really don't think it's a great idea. But I can.. While out hunting, he will leave them alone.. He will eat through a kennel to get to a female ready to breed, so you are better to tie him out..

And most males I have seen will molest a female coming in or going out.. That is why male dogs, most of them, I don't want in my kennel..

So, anything else you want to know about my dog, since you have taken such an interest, or anything else you want to pick apart?

I have found that them going out are no big deal. I have found that those in standing heat are too much of a challenge but I am 60 and preponder stuff that turns me off. Now them that's coming in, now thats another story . They don't call me the Usher for nothing.

I agree. I had a dog that did the same thing. After getting bumped with the e collar a couple times he figured out really quick what his mind should be on was finding Mr. Coon.

I have a 7 year old Red nose pit. I had him fixed when he was 6 months old. He humps every thing that breaths with the exception of Me, my kids and my family that he grew up around. My hounds and about any one else is fair game.
I have done everything i can imagine short of putting a bullet in him. He will not stop. He is not mean or aggressive at all. Just likes to hump. So fixing your dog may not work anyway
