I hope the Hoffmans find it. Dakota Fred annoys the bejeebers out of me. Hey Chuck, what kind of creek usually has gold along it? We only have sluggish type water here and I never thought it was right for gold.

Well to start with i see your from Minn. If you believe in the Ice Age theories ,You my friend are setting on top of gold ! All your steams will have SOME gold in them,but i do like a stream thats flowing like 3-5 mph,but when a stream is flooding its cutting a new channel over and over most every flood ,Therefore is rolling/tumbling material around on down stream ,gold included. You will need to look at the creek and finds the bends in it,,,water has to run faster on the outside of a bend ,slower on the inside,,when the water slows down it drops the Material it has been moving,,Creates a sand/gravel bar ,this is your most likely place to start looking,also look out in the creek for big rocks gold will be on the downstream side of them ,,,logs across creeks will be another spot to look ,,Any place where water has to slow down the gold will be there in that "Sweet Spot " ,,,,long story short you got gold right at your feet !! you can PM me if you want more tips or ask questions here,,I'll try to answer as best i can ,but if i don't know i'll to you that too,,I'm not here to blow smoke ,Thanks Chuck West

Boys i just got my latest Gold Prospectors Magazine And in it there is an article about a guy that has a Beagle dog that he has trained to sniff out GOLD and Silver,,,,I guess he used to train dogs to find drugs and illegal gold being smuggled,, The article says his dog can sniff out Gold down to about 4 inchs deep,,Depending on soil compaction. So i guess we can all get a beagle and buy his DVD and book on training your own Gold Sniffin dog ,,,,more info later .

Any of you guys ever done any "dowsing" for water /pipes/conduit ?? I have and it works,,,now maybe you won't believe this but i've done it with gold ,,just using metal coathanger,,,,,,are you with me GA DAWG ?? This trick will save ya from buying a metal detector. 2 bent coathangers and a beagle how can a man miss out ,,,lol Gonna name my beagle Bowser the Dowser/AKA the gold sniffin hound .
