out call, call your dog better then you. kinda like someone saying they out ran you in a foot race. out do you. they learn your dog, if your dog locate the tree first they will call thier dog treed off your dogs locate before you can call your dog treed.
pitching is calling your dog struck or treed when it has not.
you "pitch yours in there too".
pitch your dog in too so you dont get shut out on a strike or on the tree hoping yours will be too.

Nobody will ever call their dog treed off any of my dogs or they will be eating their minus. I have seen guys try this in casts. 9 OUT of 10 were off colered dogs in local UKC casts. They really thought they were slick treeing their dogs off other dogs locates. Must feel pretty pathetic knowing your dog will cover anythjing that throws a locate.

Out calling

There are a few TRUE houndsmen that can listen to a cast for a drop or 2, and know exactly what every dog is doing. They can take advantage of what you do or don't hear your own dog doing. Trust me, I am NOT one of those guys, but have seen it.

Nobody has ever seen one handler talk another into treeing his dog before? There's the ability some people have to play mind games with the other handlers, and never miss a beat calling their dogs, and talk yo into mistakes with yours.

The biggest part of making titled dogs without cheating is like being a great football coach, judging talent and having a better dog or better prepared dog than your competition. John in his day out hunted almost every man alive!
