When we started hunting our oldest son bought a pup off Deuce. He really liked him. The young man who ended up with him really liked him too. He turned out to be a nice hound. The young man moved south and was just getting ready to put him in hunts when someone apparently poisoned the dog. I think he was 2 when he passed. Good luck in the future. Lance

Appreciate that men? You know, it is no fault of my Man Hound for not being Granded by now. I just have not been to that many hunts over the past 18 months. This was the first nite hunt of the season and hopefully we can use this as an starting block to our Grand Nite degree.

I told Mike Hayworth they could fire me from being a guide and judge if they liked...HA! Need to get on my A game for KS this weekend for sure!

Anytime Elmo Overton! Congrat's on you RQE win at Garnett this weekend. Got to bring a little hardware home, cannot beat that.
My Man dog and I hunted against some nice hounds this weekend. As a handler I let him down on Friday nights hunt against the Judge dog that won 1st place Nite Ch. Man was on his A game but his handler once again was a little to slow on pullng the trigger on him. Win some loose some

You know Charlie Lowery is a very good man. It was very nice to set down and spend a little time shooting the bull about hounds with him and the rest of the crew last weekend.

Charlie, Dottie had 7 pups on 4-26-12 "early morning" I might add I will send Elmo a pic and see if I can coax him into posting for me. I have not checked the sex of the pups yet so not sure on what is what. But so far Dottie is showing to be a very good momma and she has all 7 pups looking good. I will alos post Dotties pedigree.

This is what my Warrior dog came from and what I got was the same hunt style, same nose, looks, what I gained was I seen more layup ability, and when I crossed back in again I got a lot more layup ablity with nose track and tree. I didn't see anything I didn't like. They all seem to start real early and coon minded. The good thing is I knew every dog on top and bottom because I owned them for the most part and didn't see anything I hated. I didn't gain harder treedogs but maintained the accuracy. I'm looking for that so that is where for my Timber comes into play. Same old Uchtman blood just bred a different way. Like any other crosses some make it some don't.

The way I look at it is if you don't try how will you ever know? Really most of the better crosses are accident that didn't mean to happen and then bang all the dogs seem to be making a splash.
All of us pedigree match to much and sometimes it just don't work.
I believe you really need to know the dogs behind the dogs or at least heard good things about them. Basically breed to the tree stump not the limb this is where all the roots are.
