Go with Bright Eyes. Not because of the brightness but because of the quality. I was up to my neck in a river getting my dog off a snag and the light didnt mess up or nothing. It was submerged for a good minute. The battery lasts 4ever and the head is machined out of aluminum. Very quality light, the only thing is that it has gotten a little bit dimmer over time i suppose its just broke in now. I've had it for a little over a year

Brighteyes lights are not made for the hard hunter. I hunt almost every nite and my brighteyes was totally junked after 3 months. You can't get bug spray on the cord it bubbles up and eats through it. When I called them about this they would not send me a new cord I was going to have to send it to them and not hunt for weeks till I got it back. ( not an option). They don't have a big enough nut and washer on the switch it sinks into the case itself making it totally useless. Yes it was bright, but it dosen't matter how bright a light is when it's not useable. JMO

Cap light hands down for me. No cord, no belt. It's an awesome light.

You want the new super lite 24 volt from con keys with the green cats eye, if you can't find the coon with this lite he's not there! These kites are the best out there by far and Bruce also has the best customer service I have ever seen! Number two is not even close! And I was not paid in anyway, shape or form for this reply, this comes from a hunter like yourself that hunts six nits a week in rough country and I'm telling you Bruce and Kevin have nailes it with this new lite oh! Did I mantion it's only 1.1 lbs don't look any farther get you one today and be happy the rest of the season!

POTOMAC

you talking about the belt light? And if so you like it better than the hat light?

I ordered the hat light, I am thinking it is at the post office now, at least I got something from the post offfice saying sorry they missed me, it might be not be the light, I will find out tommarow. I ordered it 4 days ago, and if it is the light, thats pretty dang fast service.

It will be my first boss light and dealings with Bruce, man said if I didn't like it, send it on back. I am not sure I can deal with 1.5 on the neck or not. This old knot has taken its share of abuse.

Mine is the belt lite I just prefer it cause I keep my headpiece on a lanyard around my neck but that's just my preference and I'm sure it's your lite cause I had to go to the post office today and pick another bone up myself,I'm pretty sure the only diff in both those lutes is the burn time, either way insure you will agree bruces kites are top of the line and his customer service is also at the top of his game, feel free to call me tommorowvif you have any questions 571-233-5819 Joe zinn

There is $100 between the 2 the batterys is where most the money is but the belt light is also so brighter as the heads are not the same inside. The Super lite will only run 2 more hours on high then the cap light but it will run alot longer on lower settings.

Can you flip from a colored light to the white light on a Boss? Or is it just one color?
Also if I send my switch in to get it converted, can I still use my 5100 head on the converted switch?
Thanks,
Scott

Here is a pic of the Cats eye Turbo head the G is cause mine is green.

Here is a video of the 6 click switch Boss Turbo with Green Cats eye. In the Video I start on the 1st white click go up to 6 then back down to off then filp it to the Cats eye and go back up from off to the 6 click, but you can flip it over to the Cats eye at anytime. This video goes very fast you may need to replay it a few times look how dim 1 and 2 are. I shine trees with 1 and 2, walk with 3 and 4, shoot them out with 5 and 6.

Brighteyes

I have had a few good ones and few that needed thrown over the hill. We bought two at the winter classics last year, used them a few times and both lights went bad, called bout them and wanted me to send them in for repair. So we just took them to setwd and he wanted to take them back and work on them and leave me without a light to use. After a minor conversation he replaced them with two new ones and they worked fine. The battery pack did break out of the belt and the brightest went down hill after used for awhile but they held of good. I sold both and think I'm done, but I'm sure they make good and bad in all lights.

cat eyes

I bought the new Bright Eyes 26 volt belt light without a head piece and used my old White Lighting head,Was wanting to get the Boss Head with the 1 colored LED will it work without having to change something. The new light has something differant in it because a regular 5100 style head wont work on it if that helps answer my question.

Thanks Todd

I don't think will work but most people don't go back to a 5100. Have you been to the woods with others that had LEDs?

If you call Bruce let us know what he says.

Bruce says no. I have not been to the woods with no LED's.
I like my 5100. So I'll keep it.

Droptine- I don't think he is offering the cat's eye yet with that head. But I could be wrong, I have been before. I would sell without first. Then once everybody has bought them, then offer the cat's eye. Like they have stepped up the number of led's. Make more money that way.

Guys I don't know if they ever started making that head they had one made to see if the market was going to have a demand for it in that post it said you would have 5 amber LED and could pick Green or Red as your Cats eye. I just don't think there was a big demand for it. I know they took it to a big hunt.
