Another vote for the SBE. My new one arrives next month!

Not only are they super trim, light, pointable and comfortable to shoot....there is no other gun that will take the punishment those guns will take and function flawlessly. It was an easy choice for me.

I have shot both guns and I feel the Maxxus is a better gun. It shoots great, works great, and feels awesome. Its even a little less expensive.

Many a hunter cherished the Browning Sweet Sixteen "Belgium" made, and I bought a Browning BPS that was made in Japan.

I haven't shot one yet I liked better than my Benelli Super Black Eagle II...and I've tried several makes! It's been a good all-purpose shotgun for me, and I've used it for a little bit of everything.

I think I would wait for the new browning A5. I have two orginial A-5s one belgium one jap and a gold hunter. They all preform very well. A benelli is an overpriced stoeger. Any semi-auto shotgun can jam if not taken care of, i know of plenty benellis that have jamed in the swamp. I would also look an the new winchester SX3 which is very simular to the maxxus.

Boy that ain't been my experiance at all. I've had my Benelli over 12 years and I don't even take good care of it. It's never failed me from dove loads to heavy Turkey loads. Whether you like the feel and fit of the Benelli is up to individual taste , but reliability is not even an issue.

My Browning has jammed a handfull of times over the years, but it is rare. I have nothing against the Browning either, but the Benny is more reliable.

I bought my son a Stoeger 2000 and he loves it. The action feels a little crappy compared to the Bennelli, but it performs the same.

I understand that, they are pretty heavy. I have been doing some research on the new A-5 that browning is coming out with. It looks rather impressive. The link below goes into a lot of detail of the mechanics of the gun. And a five year or 100000 guarantee.

Lord a mercy guys...
John M. Browning was born in Utah! And the Browning BAR was THE most popular gun for USA from the day it was made on up to Vietnam...
Benelli makes Stoeger, so yes it basically is an over priced Stoeger. They make one with all the bells and whistles and then they make one with out them. Just like every other company in the world.

Yes... and Ford makes the Focus and the Lincoln. I own a Stoeger and a Bennelli. They are not the same gun.

The decision to go SBEII was easier than the decision to get it in Realtree APG or Realtree Max4. I'm leaning towards APG. But I do like the looks of Max4. Dang......

Whordel you said you didn't remember any wars being won with Browning. The BAR was used in almost every war, and the USA hasn't lost many.

Browning guns are made today in Belgium, Portugal, Japan , and in the U.S.A.
