As usual we have lots of laws on the books but even the enforcement division don't know them or interprets them differently.
Had a DNR officer at a YEP event tell us we could be cited for not wearing orange while hunting at NIGHT. He allowed it was foolish and unlikely to happen but said the book doesn't say you don't have to wear it at night. Found out since he was wrong, it does say it's not required at night.
Bottom line if they want to give you trouble they can write you up and you have to go to the time and expense to respond to it whether you're right or wrong.

well treed a few coon again last night and shined a whole bunch these are my hunting spots and the people that are worried about me killing all these coon cant hunt there anyways so dont worry about it....

you got that right Dale. Ask three different CO's the same question and get three different answers. It just depends on how they interpret the law. But if we interpret the law wrong we get burned.

Sometimes it comes back to burn the CO. Ask Jim about the CO he left stuck with his truck buried in the snow in the middle of the Pigeon River Country in January after he wrote him a bad ticket. If he would've gave him a warning he would've made it home in time for breakfast. Instead he didn't make it home for dinner since there's no radio reception or cell service out there. LMAO!
