My brother in law swears by his Benelli for Turkey hunting but uses a 30-06 Browning A-Bolt for deer but i know in a lot of states a shotgun with slugs is all you can use to deer hunt with !

X3 on the H&R Ultra Slugger. Tack driver. Everyone is shooting them around here now. Most including myself prefer it in 20 ga. You can't even find one in this area. Awesome shooting gun and cheap.

X4 I wouldn't be afraid to push the distance on mine.
I named my Ultra .12 "the hog". A carry gun it is not!
