You know I have had 1 Coon run up my leg up to shoulders and jump into a tree !! Kinda of a Quick Strange Feeling !! Then I had 4 of my hounds treeing on me ... I quit shaking out of trees after that ..

I had one bit my pants and got alittle skin but no puncher !!

The worst thing I ever saw was my Brother climb a hege walnut tree to catch a day time coon with only a pair of Welder gloves on !! That coon ate him alive !! He was hanging in that Tree by one Hand and trying to Shake that glove off with the Coon hanging on it !!!! But I did catch the Coon and The glove in a Fish Net down below !!

His hand was as big as a base ball the next day !! Full of holes

We tried to keep the coon caged up till we knew it didn't have rabies but it got loose that night !!

Lots of Fun when we were Kids !!

Through the years I have had many phone calls about animals that were stranded very much like the videos. In all cases with adult animals they were all able to get out on their own. I have seen young animals who were unable to do the same thing.

I have also seen an adult coon jump from a stand still from a chimney and land on the edge of a roof 20 feet way. THen jump and hit a trunk of a spruce tree again about 20 feet away.

Coon are amazing animals that are capable of doing so much more than people give them credit for.

Such a trap may catch 1 or 2 coons, but as a reliable method with a high efficiency rate not a chance.
