About all this talk of the dogs will start slick treeing if you shoot out coons to them,, I've seen the opposite of this. I have shot truck loads of coons, all in season of course, and my hounds were always tight and right. When people say, they pull up slick to get the coon shot faster,, my mind thinks these people never trained a hound in there life. You are way underestimating the intelligence of these hounds, they know if that coon is there when they park, If your hound is pulling up short,, the reason isn't because he or she has had coons shot out to them.
