That aint right either..A coon will climb 10 times higher than a possum..If I see eyes in the top of a thick tree in the summer..Plus em up!

Whenever you get away from your buddies, take two little pieces of reflective tape and stick them close under your eyes. But have the keys in your pocket..

A coon is seen..A eye is part of a coon..It dont say you have to see the whole coon there in 3a either does it? Anybody with any common sence can tell the difference..How many possums you seen 30 or 40 feet high?

I have never treed an oppossum that I couldn't see in the tree. And a few times I have seen green eyes in a tree from a distance it always jumped out and ran off before we got close to the tree.(bobcat) or wild timber cats will shine green. Sounds to me like you drew a colored blind judge that night who should have been scratched for looking at the tree while u were walking in,before dogs were handled.

i had a live albino coon once and at night her eyes were green or fire red and in the daytime when you looked at them they would be clear and pink of if the sunlight happened to reflect off them as you was haveing a staredown with her, they would look fire green/red combination and she would win the staredown and you would have hair standing up on your neck and feel like you just looked into the eyes of the devil himself...

the warden told me the albinoism was getting more common so maybe some of them coon could have them pink eyes, only one way to know for sure, score with a 22..
................ ............................
i cant beleave the one post,,eyes are only 15 feet off the ground and cant tell what it was but could see eyes,,$350 lights and people cant tell what they are looking at 15 feet away,,better break out the carbide light and 7cel flashlights then or get some eyeglass's,,cause somethings bad wrong..my old 4volt wheatlights will show that far away...

I have never seen green eyes on a coon. Always amber/yellowish. Not saying their can't be.

I know of 1 person that got caught doing something like that instead of marbled, he had 2 magnets attached to each other, then he cut-out reflector-tape, stuck a piece to each magnet, & threw 'em up in his dogs tree. The dog was a PKC PCH-UKC GRNITECH, off old Coma, & "NO" I am NOT talking about Barry Kiddy & old Zeb, in case you're wondering. He supposedly learned it from a fella that's owned a bunch of big hunt, SS's, & is no stranger to the World Hunts either. He must not have had quite as bright a pupil as himself, 'cuz the younger guy is barred indefinitely, & the old man is a well-respected, coondog-man these days. Ha.

As far as which color eyes to plus or not to plus, well that's just 1 of those questions that can only be answered by the 3-4 men, standing under that tree, & looking at the "peepers" in question!

I've seen lots of blue and green eyes and they have always been looking out a mask when the dogs got done chewing on them.Lions and bobcats are usually amber.
