Yep

My first one was born 3-15-78 so I guess thats just about 25yrs. now I've been following one around,

He was a nice dog had all of the following in his three gen. pedigree.

Hunters Timber Chopper
Hurricane Hill Savage Sam "twice"
Kitchens Red Mudd
Clouses Tall Timber Talker
Moran's Midnight King
Blakesley's Red Lady

Wish I still had the old man he was straight and a good tree dog.
I wouldn't trade the hounds I have now and I'm not changing breeds either. Nothing like a GOOD Redbone.

i did for awhile , but only in the dark

we kept him tird way behind the barn so NOBODy would see him in the yard. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------only for a short time though then we sent him to ohio with a younger cousin and he got stolen out thee garage. but i can see why you people might like them if they as good as him, and he was only half sized.

Sawblade

I was looking at your post. You and I started down the same road, about the same time. I got my first Reg. redbone in 1973. She was a granddaughter to the Savage Sam dog. CD goes back to all the dogs you named but one Kitchens Red Mudd.

Brents Poseys dad Don Posey brought one of the first reg. redbones into this area in 1962. She was Blakesleys Northern Joe and Pun Jab The Great breeding and that is where are line of dogs started. Over the years we threw in several shots of Mitchell Bennetts Swing Red Rock, Morans Midnight Captain and a dog I won redbones with in 1978 Bates Rusty Red. As of late we picked up some Timber Chopper Blood and Old Woodpecker. By way of Hennings Chief Female bred to Timber Jack. By putting this combanation together we have come up with some very nice presure treedogs. That throw presure treedogs.

We have hunted Red Dogs for over 30 years we will die hunting red dogs.

What does this mean when a Redbone has a white chest.........Whats up with that ?????? Do any of you Red Dog men know ? Is it a mix of some other blood way back when or some that was added a few years back or just recently ?

White in the chest

Redbones have had white in the chest for years and years. From what I have been told It goes way back. Some like it, some don't care, and some will not have it.
