I was a DI at 3rd Bn, I Co from 94-96 and if there was one thing that chapped my a$$ was when someone came to the Island totally out of shape and expected us to wave a wand and make them a "Super Stud" overnight. The two biggest things that I encountered recruits having issues with were the rope climb and pullups. It seemed as if they had no upper body strength. The run was usually okay after the first month or so, but even so I suggest that you can at least complete 3 miles even if you can't do it in 28 minutes.(bare minmum) The more you prepare the better off you are. If you can't swim I suggest you learn (YMCA) between now and when you go. The Corps will teach you, but you will be hating life the whole time.
Good Luck
