Steve sounds like your babying them hounds. Mine get a good box full of straw, a quality 30/20 feed ,fresh water and a kick in the azz. If it gets real cold I'll supplement fat like wheat germ oil, or something like National energy pak. Old dogs and pups, get doubled or tripled up with other dogs, same ages and temperments(gotta watch em).

Warm

I take a old pair of Jeans and cut a peice the length of the door, split it down one side, staple that to a strip of wood and take screws and attach to house to make a curtain. Keep fresh straw in their houses, change out probably once a week, water, extra food. They seem to do well and if they don't chew alot, love the curtain. They will eventually tear it off, but you haven't lost much. I built the houses I have now out of 1//2" plywood, when I had barrels I have wrapped the barrel in blankets, carpet & etc. to insulate to help keep them warm.

Joseph! welcome back...havent seen many post from you stirring up trouble in a while!?!? was kinda missin it lol...Whats the deal with you and Darren?? are we going to get together before the year is over and check this blue dogs oil or what?? Looks like Friday and Saturday are going to be the best weather we have had for awhile...I will go both nights so get your lazy rear off the couch and tell Darren to bring his butt on down to your place and we can meet up there and go somewhere or you can come down to my place and we will go....Tired of you two ole hens cluckin...lets go huntin!!!
