I just got off the phone with Carla Waggoner with "Make a Wish Foundation" and she replied its a old scam that has resurfaced.
The reason why I called was I found some older dates on the web with her name on them. And thought before I send a card to a possible mourning family "terminally ill" and "cancer". Why not make sure the cancer hasn't already taken her life? That would be hard on a parent, still receiving cards after her death. Sorry but it's a scam. If you would like to confirm this, the number is 1-800-722-WISH
It's a shame our society has come to this.....
What is a shame is the time and effort i put into this just to hear its a scam........ And no i did not research this before i went into sending cards and telling my friends I just figured nobody could be that mean and disrespectful... But I dont understand what the SCAM part is? I just sent a bunch of card to a little girl??? I gave in good faith its all I can do...
