I live in OHIO and I've seen buckets, so WHAT.

Some guy with a slow trailing, deep hunting dog or better yet a guy that kills all his coon and gets consistenly outscored by a man that takes care of his coon and does his best to attract and keep them now wants to outlaw or make a fuss over buckets.

Next thing you know you'll have the scratch happy bunch wanting to scratch the cast winner cause the winning coon was treed in woods with a bucket in it.

Talk about beating a dead horse!

CHRIS I HAVEN'T GOT A PROBLEM WITH BUCKETS. I DO GET SICK OF HEARING ABOUT TAKING CARE OF THE COONS FOR A REASON TO HUNT EASY BUCKET COONS. GOD MADE THIS LAND TO PROVIDE FOR EVERY ANIMAL OUT THERE INCLUDING YOU AND ME. ITS BEEN GOING ON FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS AND OUR LITTLE LIFE SPAN WON'T STOP IT. I AGREE IF YOU HAVE A GOOD SPOT TO HUNT YOU SHOULD'T KILL IT OUT. BUT ADMIT IT BUCKETS ARE FOR LAZY HUNTERS THAT WANT THE QUICK JUMP AND SHORTEST WALK POSSABLE. MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER TO FEED THEM IN ONE SPOT AND CAST FAR AWAY SO THE DOG WOULD HAVE TO DO WHAT ITS BRED TO DO. "GO HUNTING" AINT NOTHING LIKE A DOG TREEING ON THE BUCKET BECAUSE THE COON HAD HIS ARM TO HIS SHOULD STUCK IN IT AND IT HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO CLIMP OR GET ATE.

I love feeder buckets..I dont cry like a school girl if I get beat on somebody elses either! If you need feeders to keep the coon in an area where we are hunting..By all means put them out..If I go to a club..I want to tree coons! Notice I said COONS..That means more than 1..If I go to a club a couple times and dont tree coons..I want be going back..We are coon hunting..Not turning the dogs out for exercise..

if you don't hunt in the hunts then this has NO direct effect on you! Keep your pleasure hunting spots and enjoy hunting how ever you like to do it! So many want to stir the pot, there's no need just hunt!!! Jmo

feeder buckets are no different than a corn field IMO. all you are doing is hunting the optimal spot to tree a COON, there is no gurantee that a coon always goes to the feeder. just like turning llose on water in dry times. it is an optimal way to tree coons

Not Everyone

Has the luxury of drawing out on a cast and know your going to hunt feeder buckets

How would ya like to draw out on a cast that is going to hunt wild coons like 4 other cast, but the 5th cast is going to hunt feeder buckets .

Feeder bucket cast comes in with 1000 while everyone else struggles to get 450.............

I didn't start this post to hear everyones opinion on the rights or wrongs of feeder buckets. We all know by now everyone has an opinion on them. I wanted to know where UKC stood on it as far if a cast hunted over them here in Va. They answered that question so I say let it go.......
