i DO carry CB shorts..but, only for those times when we do get treed in the back yard and happen to have the gun and the home owner comes out and says "shoot that garbage eatin sucker!!" we slip in a short and drop the coon down..rarely do we even take the gun anymore..


normally though, if were in a back yard, we slip in ASAP and get the dog and get outta there ASAP..


i just am pretty surprised so many guys are concerned about noise of a 22...you got ATLEAST 1 dog running track and treeing making all kinda noise...

I actualy used a 1/2" drill bit in my Drill and it didn't take much more than 30 seconds to do it..

Thats a Rem. Viper .22 ... They Gum Up real Quick !! and 99% Plastic, wouldn't own another ..

But it Shoots very tight..

This is the 60 gr. Aguila Subsonic ..

its the full leight as a Long Riffle .22 but all the lead makes up the distance from the .22 short Case ..

I think it all comes down to if you want to hear 6-10 "tics" or 1 "plunk." I would delete that picture of that snazzy looking "muzzle break." That will get ya in trouble with the Alphabet police. (ATF, FBI, etc.) Its a federal offense to have any type of silencer without the proper license.

That Kinda Brings up something I saw on the Outdoor Chanel once ..

They were shooting Crows and they were using "Reduced Noise" 12 ga. Shotguns and what they had done is added a 18" Ported and oversized light wall tubing that screwed into where the Choke Tube would ..

And by What I could tell they were Very Quiet Compaired to the 12 ga. without it ..


What about Turkey Shoot Guns ?? placing a 20 ga. Improved Cyl. on the end of a 12 ga. I would say that quite a Modification !!

But then again that Muffler has no effect at all to Noise Compensation if you using a Standard Vol. .22 short or Long Riffle .. None "Just as loud as without it" ..

It only works with a SubSonic Round ..
