want a longer deer season move to the south.in virginia we can deer hunt almost 5 months out of the year.thats if you add in all the seasons such as urban deer hunting but you got to use a bow and antler less only during that one. plain old gun season where I hunt is from nov 13 to jan 1 and we get 6 deer tags though if thats not enough deer for you go buy another set of bonus deer tags get 6 more.though we do have eab here now in some places.no big deal to me don't eat antlers anyhow

small game has never brought in the kinda money deer hunting has, we are talking a billion dollar a year buisiness, look at cabelas and bass pro, they didnt get as big as they are by small game/ hound hunters, think about it this way most everyone that coon hunts more than likely deer hunts, that doesnt hold true for the deer hunters, money talks

Ill dnr may not know to much but they sure got your seasons right, thats how it should be done
