Yes I do! As I said, cows are creatures of habit, go to get milked at the same time each day, eat the same time each day, so on and so forth. If what they did for so many days or weeks in a row is the samething and something happens to them that didn't happen to them before in that time, they get upset, confused and will be come scared because the routine is disrupted. It is a proven fact that a cow will produce less milk when under stress, be it change in the feed, or change in grazing field or change in milking pattern or feed pattern. The more they are kept on a routine, the better they are and the better milk they produce.
We milked 3 times a day, 7 days a week. 5, 1 and 9. If you were off even by an hour, the amount of milk produced would go down and your sematic cell count would go up. Keep them on schedule with everything and they produced more and higher quality milk. I seen it done many, many times. Some times it was very hard to do all 3 shifts like that, but we did it and tried very hard to not get off schedule.
