this is a very sad post to read. i know of quite a few guys that have drawn out against lil` red and they all have said she was a real coondog. i wish that this ride could`ve gone alot longer. russ, if you read this i`m very sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about this, I have to admit she got me back to looking for a red dog. I've had 2 killed on the road in the past couple years its a terrible thing to drive up and find em and i cant imagine seeing it.

Man that news knocked the breath out of me.I know one thing she shook the coonhound world up more than anything else in the coonhound world,man or beast.Russ and Lil Red drew more attention than any dog or team in my memory.Russ,I'm sure sorry to hear this awful news,I'll be thinking about you and I'll never forget Lil Red,what LEGENDS are made of.

Didn't know the man or dog but shure hate to hear of anybody looseing a dog they love........Been there and done that many times. Not quite like looseing a child becouse I have done both but I have lost dogs that I cryed like a baby for days over. Hopes he get another great one soon..............

what a tremendous loss to the coonhunting world. She put the fire in a lot of people and created a lot of excitement.

whether you were a fan or a critic she brought out the emotion in those of us that live to hear a hound in the woods at night.

This a sad end to a very exciting story. Li'l Red will be talked about for years to come.

Well I for 1 hope you find the SOB driving that car who didn't slow down and explain to them some manners. Horrible thing to have happen. No doubt she was quickly becoming a legend. Sorry to hear of your loss Russ.When you spend hours and hours with a dog its hard to describe the bond you have.
