Grouchy? Not hardly. Authority on everything? Not at all, I'm married. She is the authority. But I do know nutrition and I do know conditioning. I was also paying homage to Jane, she is a great dog period. Unfortunately, I am not one to be roped into sighting a smart azz exception to make a point that goes against multiple university studies and my own experience. Then I'm supposed to be nice? Don't think so. Its that law of averages thing. If folks want to hang onto the dream of hooking up with a dog like Jane, go for it. But for must of us, the law of averages effects us and when you feed a junk feed, it effects us even more. But for those still clinging to the dream, good luck. For those wanting to improve the health of their dogs by providing better nutrition, don't hang your hat on Joy. I put the info out there, folks can decide for themselves. I was just asking those who champion it, why? Break it down for me and tell me what is good about it. I have never fed it but whats on the back doesn't look real promising.

So really, what does it matter to you? Most people cannot afford to feed $40 a bag dog food. No reason to belittle anyone on here, try being more pleasant and less negative. You will for sure have a lot more friends on here than you currently have.

I haven't belittled anyone that can't spend $40 on feed. I don't even spend $40 on feed. I think I even said that I understood that cost was a limiting factor for some. As far as being less negative......poor feed is a negative and I don't care how someone may polish it up. A turd is a turd. As far as what it matters to me.......show me fault for trying to provide information that will enable those that don't know better to make better choices for their dogs? Show me fault for not sitting back and letting errant information be put forth. My intent is to provide information that may allow others to improve the health of their dogs and thus their enjoyment. If one feels guilty or otherwise because all they can afford is $20 for a sack of feed, it still doesn't change the facts. Polishing up what one can afford doesn't change the quality. Fooling others into feeding junk because one feeds junk, does nobody any good, especially the dogs. I can't figure out why one would intentionally try to get others to feed their dogs poor food to make themselves feel better about what they feed. Pardon me for having an interest in the breeds as a whole and wishing they live a higher quality of life regardless of whose hands they are in. I digress.

I just pointed out a dog that performed well on joy. I also have fed it as others have said on here and I liked it, I know Jane was fed it because James Turpin has sold Joy dog food for 30 plus years. Bet Insane Cain has been fed it his entire life also. I also know a guy that tried it and didnt like it. The guy ask for opinions, everyone has one, some people just get upset if someone differs from theirs. Try Joy or dont, I dont care, but chances are you will like it, if you try it.

Take a look at the Costco(Kirkland) brand food its comparable to diamond Extreme athlete but a lot cheaper. Just like others have said look for a meat based food not grain we are feeding dogs not cattle.

How about that advertisement where Chef Dufus goes home and cooks for his dog. He got so good he even came out with his own brand.

Vegetable protein is cheaper. Animal protein is better. Try to convince the vegetarians of the world that. There is a difference in that string of CHN.

Joy

Have fed JOY for a long time. Ran and swam field trial dogs on it. A Dog can and will perform, feel look better on JOYat a higher level than any feed I have fed,This also goes for hunting and show. And yes I have tried most of the rest at some point in time.
So yes I like JOY>
Bloody stools are not to be blamed on JOY. You surely need to look at your deworming program, your dog has a problem other than feed.
