I was in reds cast Friday night she did everything right she is a real nice dog and if the guys saying she didn't earn the score had been whiped by her thay would know she is real capable of 2025+ I know I do. And mike knows his dog and called her just as she was doing mr. Bellar put use in coon and gave us the chance to win same as mike had. Red and mike just flat WON. Lol mike and russ I sure would like another shot at ya thow lol_______________________kevin cable

You guys always seem to make it personal, choose sides and squabble like a bunch of kids. In doing so the real issues go out the window. The question posted was about hunting in a 2 dog cast and the advantage that gives someone. FACT competing in a 4 dog cast basically guarantees you will be a looser against a 2 dog cast all other things being equal. FACT would a guy with deep pockets be able to manipylate the rules to his advantage by greasing a few pockets YEP. Does this happen? sure it does.
The only thing UKC. can do is try to create a format for these hunts that provides as level a playing field as possible and i think they do the best they can.

There you go.....If you dont have guides lined up this is the best situation you can hope for at a big hunt.

If you arent stacking the deck for yourself, you have to hope to be lucky enough to draw someone that has.

Yep the best situation possible so explain why half the cast would withdraw before the first drop?

Who cares what they do with some homegrown deer ... or them overgrown rodents in the wild ... if someone would extinct-icate them all I'd give them a medal.

If yall wanna see some game laws broke ... just follow around some coonhunters ... between coonhunting and the dance hall fights ... the law could make a living just following me around .

Yall gotta realize ....a two dog cast , guided into someone's honey hole ... and with a powerhouse on the leash ... is gonna win these big hunts ... which of the handful of teams that match that criteria is just luck of the draw ...

I only hunt in UKC events due to they are the only thing with in 2 hours of me, The last 4 cast i have been on (in 3 different states) if we would have had a real coon dog, that made no mistakes, We could have easily scored over 900+ but they were all just average dogs that made some mistakes and were handled by some(Including me)handlers that were not up to par too(LOL)I like reading some of these magazines when they do the finale 4 and have a play by play...Why not see if they mind if a Writer walks along on one of these high caliber cast and see what went on.... But that would not answer 90% of the whiners questions because if the dog did not win,Did not score 2000+ or just plain got beat by another dog everyone would just point a finger and say "I told you so". I would like to see it but i guess a few of you would think they payed him off aswell...I'm sure with the money involved that you guys claim these guys pay out LIL RED could never sell that many pups to make up for Mr.Bellars money he has in gas alone, let alone all you guys claim he is adding to it.

I aint no animal rights nut ... deer are gonna die , pretending the "how" is important is silly .... whether you find them in the wild or hit them in the head while they are eating ...or a car battery falls out of my pocket in the woods and they lick it ... dead is dead ... just ask anyone who had died if they cared how it happened.

That is right and my hat is off to them aswell,,,But see if you can find an average of what all the other cast came in with that night.....Some people just have a hard time giving credit, where credit is due.... I saw a few pictures on here the other night of LIL RED and she was all curled up on that coat sleeping like she had a long night.... (smart dog by the way,Most would still be yanking and pulling and barking...) It does not look like she laid in the truck all night while they filled out the card.... A guy just got on here and said he hunted against her and gave credit where credit was due... Did you ever hunt with or against her?I have not scene anyone get on here and say she was a no good,50% accurate. Off game, instant strike dog yet..... every post i have scene says that she is a cross bred Walker/redbone that is a single registered , coon treeing machine. That happens to be owned by a guy that hunts the hide off of a COONDOG to WIN whenever he shows up...

I guess I'm not as smart as bellar and his team. If I owned a surefire winner like lil red I would be hunting every big money ?kc events out there. The heck with the trophy's. I don't see any reason why she should't double up on scores in those kc's as well? Bet that dog could win a million before she dies. I would love to hunt with her one time. bet a lil red video would be a good seller as well mr.bellar I know I would buy it. Hey do you need a dog promotor on your team? lol

i dont think the issue here is the dog. she did her job and did it well. i think all the questions are being asked about the 2 dogs cast situation and the honey holes all the time. right?

I agree something sounds fishy!!!!!!!! But one shouldn't point the finger without facts. If its something shady going on it will come out in the wash always does. Maybe the man has a lucky charm and good carma and it just happens that way for him?

I have the solution U.K.C should have a hunt were it is all one dog cast charge a $50 entry fee and give everyone a $5 trophy that will be the only way to make some of these guy's happy and U.K.C will make $45 a dog.

Aint it funny how all coonhunters dream of everything going perfect and winning a big hunt, knowing full well if it happens they will be labeled a cheat and a liar.

Nobody in the history of coonhounds, has ever put more effort into getting a dog ready for a hunt than Bellar.
As ive said before, it borders on insanity.

I have hunted dogs for him for 10 yrs or so and I still shake my head in disbelief after almost every nite I hunt with him when he is on a mission. About the time im thinking that bed would sure feel good, he literaly starts running to and from trees to get more drops in before daylite, and this goes on nite after nite after nite.
Ive seen him produce a chainsaw from the truck and make absolute sure a tree (his own property)was slick or not.
He puts a lot of effort into KNOWING where the coon are at and at what time, he leaves very little to "hope". And no, there are no feeders.
After running a clock for him the week before walker days and knowing how ready the dog was, the only thing that surprised me was that the score wassnt higher.

You can say hes lucky, say hes a cheat, say he wins because he has money, but I for a fact know how he does it. Its by having more drive and want-to than anyone else. Your sure not gonna beat him by getting on here and whining and crying because he won another.

Russ is the Tiger Woods of the coonhunting world. Tons of talent and great dogs. I wonder how all the other golfers would feel if the PGA. let tiger pick his own course to play on and the cups were a little bigger than normal?
Man i sure would love to chew the fat with the other 3 guys whose names were on that card.

Walker days scores.

It sure must be awful to be so jealous of someone ,as some of you are of Bellar. This must be so because i don't hear anyone on here even mentioning all of the other cast winners that had from 1,ooo to 1,875 plus points.Surely all of those hunters cheated too. After all, that is only 150 points less than bellar had.Why is no one crying about those scores. This is an equal opportunity board,it's alright to b---h about them too.

ITS CALLED NEAR SIGHTED ...LOL.... pick one target at the top and shoot for it.....I just watched the TV clip on TEAM TRACKMAN and would love to see the next one on LIL RED....If 875+ won a hunt 35 years ago when every coon treed was shot or every other person trapped back in the day...Why can't someone tree on 9 coon in 2 hours in a "HONEY" spot in todays times when hides are not worth much and you have an over abundance of coon... But just like my cast a few weeks ago a few of the dogs kept going back to the same tree a couple of times, or needed walked a few 100 yards away...Sure does burn up time.... Wish i had a coondog that was half the dog as LIL RED..
