DONT BE COLOR BLIND

I know we all like what we like , but in the coon huntin world, in my opinon {and you know what opinons are like}, performance means more than color or breed. I have been coon huntin for 25 years and I have hunted almost every breed of hound, and I have been beat by every breed of hound at one time or another, so I have learned the hard way color dont tree coons, coon dogs tree coons! Just keep a open mind and get what you want and you will be happy and have fun. GOD BLESS YALL!

I think this is half the glory of owning and working with the coonhound breeds. There is a color for everyone and no matter what color you like, you can find a dog of that particular color who will get it done in the woods and on the bench!

julietx, there are several good clubs not far from you. Paris has a good club with good members and a good Bluetick breeder there. There are a few good clubs within a 60 mile radius of you. The redbone litter rump27 speaks of should be a good litter even though it is an off-breed Take your time and you'll find the right puppy!

Good one Josh! Julie, I should have the red female in Paris for the RQE in May if you want to look at what a pup off of her looks like all grown up.

That's May 15 isn't it, rump27? I hope so because it is not my reserve weekend so I can come. Maybe I can convince my father to come with me. How many people do you think will be there?

By the way, are you a reservist or active duty stationed in LA? How long have you been in? I've been in a little over 4 years.

May 15th is the date. Last year there were quite a few dogs there. i think it was around 30. I have been in for 11 years on active duty. Been stationed here a Barksdale, in Idaho, and California.

Okay, I will try to come and maybe bring my dad.

Do you plan to make a career out of the Air Force? What is your job? I'm in finance right now, but I'm trying to get into JAG.
